What is the best screen size for viewing? Can I use my phone?2025-11-13T17:08:07-05:00

LE2 courses are delivered online and include detailed graphics and images of complicated procedures.

To ensure you are able to see the details, we recommend a larger screen for viewing. Desktop computer screens, laptop computer screens, and tablets are fine; mobile phone screens are too small!

I am having trouble running the course. I can open the course, but the words or images are distorted.2025-11-13T17:11:34-05:00

There are several steps you can take to improve the performance or appearance of your course:

  • Disable your anti-virus software and pop-up blocker as these can interfere with the course
  • Be sure you are using an up-to-date browser, we recommend Google Chrome (Microsoft Edge will also work, but Chrome is preferred)
  • Access Chrome through a direct connection – do not use a VPN or remote connection
  • Do not log into your facility then log into the learning management system

If necessary, contact the IT department of your location for disabling of security/firewall conditions.

 Supported Desktop Operating Systems

  • Microsoft Windows 10 or higher
  • OSX (the last two major releases)

If necessary, contact the IT department of your location for disabling of security/firewall conditions.

Why can’t I see my courses on my dashboard? My courses have disappeared from my dashboard.2025-11-13T17:20:05-05:00

Oh no!  When this happens, it is usually due to an internet or browser issue. For the best experience we recommend:

  • Using Google Chrome as your browser (Microsoft Edge will also work, but Chrome is preferred)
  • Access Chrome through a direct connection – do not use a VPN or remote connection
  • Do not log into your facility then log into the learning management system

How do I report my CEUS to the credentialling agency?2023-09-11T12:16:15-04:00

AHIMA: Log into your “MY AHIMA” account on the AHIMA website and follow the instructions.

I completed the course, but the CEU sheet is missing. How do I find it?2025-04-21T09:44:10-04:00

When a brand-new course is made available, there is sometimes a delay while we wait for the program to receive prior approval from AAPC and/or AHIMA.  As soon as the course receives approval, the CEU sheet will be posted next to the course title on the courses tab of your “My Activities” folder.

How do I get my certificate of completion and CEUs?2024-07-01T19:52:18-04:00

Once you complete all the course lessons (you must view all the slides!) and successfully pass the assessment(s), a downloadable PDF Certificate of Completion will be available in the Courses tab in the My Activities folder on your dashboard – just click the prize ribbon icon next to the course name.

Do your courses offer CEUs?2023-09-11T12:17:00-04:00

With few exceptions, Libman Education courses are pre-approved by AHIMA and/or AAPC for continuing education credit. The number of CEUs pre-approved by either association will always be stated on the course information page.  Stand-alone assessments, credential review courses and non-coding related offerings may not provide CEU credit. Please see the individual product listing for information on CEUs offered.

I am getting ready for my credential exam. Will I need coding books?2025-03-07T22:28:37-05:00

Requirements for credentialing exams are set by the organization or company who sponsor the credential. Refer to their website for details. If you are attempting a coding credential you may need a physical copy of the correct year and edition of code books to take with you into the exam. If your credentialing exam requires that you bring your code books, we strongly recommend that you use a physical code book as you prepare for the credential exam so that you are familiar with the contents and can find what you are looking for quickly.

Will I need coding books?2025-03-10T17:49:06-04:00

Most of our training requires access to the code set (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS or CPT) in order to complete the course work. You may choose to view the code set online, purchase a code book, or access the code set through your encoder at work. It is important that you have access to the correct year of the code set that matches your course materials. Links to code books are provided under the books tab on the course description page on our website.

Are books included?2023-09-11T12:18:05-04:00

Unless otherwise specified, books and other materials are not included in the price of the course. We do not sell textbooks or reference materials, but as a courtesy do include links to various retail sellers of the required materials under the books tab on the course description page on our website.

Are your courses instructor led? What if I have a question, is there someone I can ask?2025-04-21T09:51:45-04:00

Libman Education courses are online, self-paced courses which allow you to work at your own speed and as your schedule permits. Our staff are available to answer questions by email or by using the ‘Click here to ask a question’ button within each course. Don’t hesitate to reach out. We want to hear from you!

How does the eLearning Library work?2023-09-11T12:20:11-04:00

The eLearning Library offers unlimited access to targeted online training for an extended period of time, usually one year.  Courses can be taken in any order.  eLearning Libraries are available in several versions (inpatient, pediatrics, HCCs, etc.) with courses selected specifically for coders working in that area or specialty.

Are courses up-to-date?2023-09-11T12:20:22-04:00

Codes and guidelines change yearly and keeping coding up to date is a challenge (!). Our ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS courses are updated prior to the October 1 implementation of new codes; our CPT courses are updated prior to the January 1 implementation of new codes.

In rare circumstances courses are delayed and not updated in accordance with this schedule. The courses are ‘waitlisted’ until they can be updated. Join our waitlist for a course that has been delayed and you will be notified as soon as it becomes available.

How long does it take to complete a course?2023-09-11T12:20:38-04:00

Our courses are self-paced, so you can work at your own speed and as your schedule allows. Based on our student’s experience, we estimate it will take a student 1-3 hours per CEU to complete a course. For example, a 2 CEU course will likely take a student 2-6 hours from start to finish. The variation is due to differences in learning style, degree of familiarity with the topic, and comfort with the online learning experience.  As you work with our courses, you may find you need more or less than 1-3 hours per CEU, and you should use your experience to plan your time requirements.

What are your online courses like? How are the courses structured?2024-08-02T18:09:15-04:00

Libman Education’s proprietary WebinarPlus™ multimedia and interactive online course format promotes engagement with challenging materials while offering independent self-study. Training methods including audio and video files, diagrams, and animations to accommodate different learning styles. Libman Education staff are available to answer questions via email or by using the ‘ask a question’ button within each course.

How do the courses work? How are courses delivered?2023-09-11T12:21:10-04:00

Courses are hosted on the Libman Education learning management system and are delivered online. You can access your course from any computer that has an internet connection with your unique and secure login and password.

How do I find out the correct answer for a question I keep getting wrong? Is a rationale provided for the answers I get wrong?2024-07-01T20:49:55-04:00

For most courses, upon submission of an assessment a rationale document is automatically provided to you on screen. Not all courses have a rationale document provided. For example, coding skills assessments, including pre-employment assessments, which measure your current level of knowledge, do not include rationales.

Still not clear why your answer is incorrect? Use the “Ask a question” button found in the top right corner of your screen when opening a module within a course. Simply type your question here, click send and a Subject Matter Expert will get back to you.

How do I find my assessment results? How do I see what I got right and wrong?2024-07-01T20:09:29-04:00

Final assessment results can be viewed for most courses. Click the “Show Your Answers” button at the bottom of the rationale document and you will be shown all questions with the answer you gave and the correct answer if this is different.

For skills assessments only the grade is provided, you are not able to view right or wrong answers.

The first will be the welcome email which contains your username and important login information for the learning management system. You will be prompted to set your password before going onto your dashboard. You will also receive an email invitation for the course(s) you have purchased.
